Diesel Jeans

This Diesel ad uses the hue of their logo to stand out. The red logo stands out with everything else in the ad being black and white. The ad also uses repetition or the use of the same graphic in multiple areas. In this case the repetition of the men. The last design element this ad utilizes is sex appeal. They are fit men flexing with no shirts on.

Lucky Brand Jeans

This Lucky Brand advertisement is image-driven, where the image drives the message. It is playing on the image of the model wearing their jeans. It also uses sex appeal of the model drawing in the customer. This ad also utilizes hue, specifically the color blue. The logo, truck, and the model’s entire outfit are all blue.

Lucky Brand Logo

The Lucky Brand logo utilizes white space or undetailed background area. In this case, it is white but does not have to be. The logo uses the same font across the logo, for the brand name as well as the established date.

True Religion

This True Religion ad is image-driven, the image drives the message. This ad only shows a large image of a model and the logo of the brand. The right side of the ad where the logo is located uses white space. In this case, it is white but does not have to be. The ad also uses movement. Movement controls the way the viewer’s eyes move across the page. When looking at this ad, the viewer’s eyes go from left to right by following the model’s body leading to the logo.

Tommy Jeans Logo

The Tommy Jeans logo utilizes consistency. It has repeated elements throughout a piece or a campaign to increase recognition. The Tommy Hilfiger logo is the same except “Hilfiger” changed to “Jeans”. The next tactic the logo uses is balance, or the distribution of elements. This logo is symmetrical, equal and identical left to right and top to bottom.
